My Reactions to Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica

…Damn you, Kyubey!…
…(*In awe of the fight scene*)…
…Goddamn it!…
…Homura~chaaaaaaan!!!…
…Madoka?!…
…Seriously?…
…Noooooo, Madoka!!!…
…(*Realizes that he has been holding his breath the entire time…*)…
…Wut?…
…Oh, I see…
…Sayaka~chaaan!(*weeps*)…
…All hope is not lost…

– Don’t forget.
Always, somewhere,
someone is fighting for you.
– As long as you remember her,
you are not alone.

…(*Rewatch, and repeat.*)

… And that was what was going on in my mind the entire time I was watching the final two espisodes of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. Sorry for the extremely late delay, as I was very busy with college studies since it is the last week of classes for me and then finals next week. But, let’s not dwell on college for a moment; instead read on ahead for my complete thoughts and impressions.

Happy Easter!

Photobucket

Happy Easter! Sure, it may not be common in Japan but whatever. This is just an obligatory post for Easter which several of my friends celebrate here in the United States. I come from a Buddhist/Shinto family, so we weren’t really influenced by Easter much. Even so, here are some nice pictures for you guys!

5 Centimeters Per Second Wallpapers!

Photobucket

Hello, I have a brief update for y’all. Starting from this day, I will be extremely busy due to the next two weeks being the last of the college semester. That means major papers, projects, presentations, and final exams. Ugh. But I can handle the work. It’s just that it will take more time for me to do all this. And here we get to the point: I will not be able to blog regularly for the next two weeks. In fact, expect only 2-3 posts for the next two weeks (maybe more, if I get time on the weekends…). So, in advance I want to share with you guys the wallpapers for 5 Centimeters Per Second, one of my top favorite movie of all time. If you haven’t done so already, watch the movie! Or go to my reviews for 5 Centimeters Per Second. Hit the break for more wallpapers!

Hidan no Aria 01 ~ Tsundere Aria!

Photobucket

Hello, a new spring series that I have taken a major interest in Hidan no Aria, or otherwise known as Aria the Scarlet Ammo. The synopsis of this new anime series is thus:

The story takes place in Tokyo Butei High School, a special school where armed detectives — “Butei” — are trained to use weapons. Kinji Tooyama is a second-year-student who has a special ability, but he keeps it a secret to maintain an ordinary, peaceful life. However, when he gets caught in a bombing on the way to school, he encounters H. Aria Kanzaki, the most powerful S-Rank Butei student in Assault Studies.

Maria+Holic Alive 01 ~ Same old.

Photobucket

Hello, sorry for the lack of posts lately, as I was preoccupied with college studies. I have finally been freed from all the work (about time!) and I have had time to catch up on all the new anime series for spring 2011. One of the shows that I will most likely be following is Maria+Holic Alive, the second season to Maria+Holic.

Side-hobby ~ Photography

Well, I’ve been so busy that I have had almost no time to be able to enjoy anime or write up some review or impressions… So I’ll at least point you out to another hobby of mine briefly, if you’re interested.

Olympus E-620 DSLR with 14-42 mm 3.5-5.6 kit lens.

Olympus E-620

I have an Olympus Evolt E-620 with the kit lenses, Zuiko 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 and Zuiko 40-150mm f/4.0-5.6, and I will soon be acquiring another new len, Zuiko 50mm f/2.0 Macro. I really enjoy my DLSR camera very much, but I’ve been lusting for more quality, hence the looming arrival of the Zuiko 50mm f/2.0 Macro. The kit lenses have been great, but after seeing photos posted all over flickr, it appears that there are so much better lenses that would dramatically improve my photos’ quality. I enjoy taking landscape, travel, night (plan to), and macro photos. Check out my flickr photostream here or go to my flickr section on the right side of my blog!
